Job summary

ThayerMahan, Inc. in Groton, CT, is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage procurement of services, material, and equipment, route POs and PSAs, and coordinate cross-functionally with finance, project teams, and suppliers.

You will review negotiations, understand contract terminology, and ensure documentation accuracy while supporting domestic and international vendors. This on-site role partners with multiple departments to sustain ThayerMahan’s growth and mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration) or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and routes Purchase Orders and PSAs for internal review and external signatures.
• Provide continuous PO support while managing 10+ PO requisition forms.
• Communicate with AP/Finance/Project teams on document statuses and questions.
• Engage in short- and long-term planning and budget development.
• Negotiate favorable terms with Sellers and coordinate with General Counsel.
• Implement process improvements and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Maintain internal documentation and vendor records in ThayerMahan systems.
• Assist in vendor engagement for quotes and estimates.
• Represent ThayerMahan values and adhere to internal policies.
