Job summary

ThayerMahan, a leader in autonomous maritime surveillance, is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our Groton, CT team on-site. You will manage purchase orders, PSAs, and supplier communications, coordinating with internal departments to ensure timely procurement and contract compliance.

The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple orders simultaneously. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 2–3 years in subcontract management,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related field.
• 2–3 years in subcontract management or related roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Detail oriented and highly organized.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment.
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and route Purchase Orders and PSAs for internal and external signatures.
• Provide PO support while managing 10+ requisitions.
• Communicate with AP/Finance/Project teams on statuses and questions.
• Participate in budgeting and strategic goals.
• Negotiate terms with Sellers and coordinate with General Counsel.
• Implement process improvements and cost reductions.
• Maintain internal documentation and vendor records.
• Engage vendors for quotes and estimates.
• Report to Director of Procurement and Logistics.
• Represent ThayerMahan values and policies.
