Washington State Department of Commerce is seeking a Procurement and Supply Specialist 1 to coordinate office supply purchases, inventory, and mail operations in Olympia. The position works in a hybrid environment, with in-office presence required at least two days per week. Strong attention to detail and process improvement are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with purchasing management and/or procurement
• Knowledge of state purchasing regulations (RCWs, WACs) and DES/OFM policies
• Ability to review and approve purchase requests for compliance
• Vendor management and contract compliance
• Proficiency with purchasing card reconciliations and CMS
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Aufgaben

• Process purchasing requests following policies and state requirements.
• Research vendors, pricing, availability, and purchasing options.
• Verify vendor information, pricing, and contract requirements.
• Follow Environmentally Preferred Purchasing guidelines.
• Maintain inventory levels and restock compliance.
• Manage shipping, receiving, and mail operations.
• Reconcile purchase card transactions and monitor for fraud.
• Communicate with staff and coordinate with departments on orders.
