Job summary

The Oregon Department of Transportation seeks a skilled procurement and contract professional to develop, review, and process a wide range of agreements and solicitations. The role emphasizes personal and professional services procurement, including architect/engineering contracts, with travel and occasional in-office requirements.

Work is hybrid with a Salem, Oregon home base; occasional travel, and a focus on compliance with state and federal rules.

Qualifications

• Four years procurement/contract experience required.
• Two years at professional level in contracts or solicitations.
• Bachelor’s degree with one year procurement experience or equivalent.
• Equivalent combination of experience and education acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all phases of contractor selection per state/federal rules.
• Modify contract terms and funding during pre/post-award phases.
• Assess procurement needs and select solicitation methods; evaluate responses.
• Prepare, issue, monitor solicitations and addenda; conduct pre-bid conferences.
• Lead or support evaluation and negotiation committees; ensure compliance.
