Job summary

Donaldson is seeking a Category Manager, Procurement to join a global team and drive strategic sourcing initiatives. The role partners with multiple functions and suppliers to ensure value, quality, and continuous improvement, with a hybrid schedule at the Bloomington, MN office.

You will lead negotiations, monitor markets, and develop supplier strategies, while supporting plant and distribution center teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3+ years of procurement experience.
• CPSM certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of procurement strategies to achieve cost and supply goals.
• Communicate category strategies and trends to leadership and stakeholders.
• Manage category pricing aligned with market conditions and drive year-over-year cost reductions.
• Identify and develop suppliers aligned with strategic sourcing objectives and monitor performance.
• Support plant and distribution center teams to align servicing end customers and operations.
• Engage supplier quality management in development processes to achieve 50 DPPM quality levels.
• Perform risk assessments and implement countermeasures to mitigate identified risks.
