Job summary

Basilone executive search is seeking a Buyer for our client’s operations, based in Pittsburgh. You will manage procure-to-pay processes, convert demand into POs, and ensure supplier performance while supporting inventory control.

The role requires 2+ years in purchasing, strong Excel skills, and Dynamics 365 experience. You’ll work across Operations, Planning, and Finance to maintain cost, quality, and delivery performance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s preferred in supply chain, business, purchasing, or related field.
• 2+ years in purchasing, materials, supply chain, or manufacturing customer-service.
• ERP purchasing processes experience; MS Dynamics 365 preferred.
• Ability to analyze supplier delivery, inventory, and cost data; communicate escalations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary purchasing execution partner for designated facilities and Operations leadership.
• Execute sourcing strategies, contracts, pricing, and supplier lists per leadership.
• Collaborate with Operations, Planning, Inventory, Quality, Finance and Category Management daily.
• Procure-to-pay discipline: create POs, confirm terms, monitor orders from receipt to closure.
• Ensure contract and policy compliance; flag off-contract spend and exceptions.
• Manage supplier performance data and corrective actions with Quality and Category Management.
• Support ERP data integrity and standardized workflows; deliver timely status updates.
