Qualifications

• 2+ years of purchasing, materials, supply chain, or related customer-service experience.
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP purchasing processes; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferred.
• Ability to analyze supplier delivery, open orders, inventory and cost data; communicate escalations effectively.
• Strong ethics, ownership, attention to detail, service mindset, collaboration across multiple plant priorities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary purchasing execution partner for designated facilities and Operations leadership; understand production schedules and working capital impact.
• Execute sourcing strategies, negotiated contracts, approved supplier lists, pricing, and specifications; escalate exceptions as needed.
• Collaborate daily with Operations, Planning, Inventory, Quality, Finance/AP and Category Management; maintain clear escalation paths.
• Procure-to-pay discipline: convert approved demand into accurate purchase orders; monitor open orders through receipt and closure.
• Ensure contract and policy compliance; flag maverick spend and off-contract pricing for resolution.
• Secure order acknowledgements, maintain issue dates, expedite material, resolve shortages and discrepancies.
• Partner with Operations and Planning to review demand, lead times, safety stock, and inventory to optimize days-on-hand.
• Maintain supplier delivery, defect data, and scorecards for top suppliers; support corrective actions.
• Validate pricing, identify leakage and cost-avoidance opportunities; report savings to leadership.
