Henderson Products, a division of Douglas Dynamics, is seeking a Buyer to manage direct material procurement for its six USCs. You will streamline the supply chain, prepare RFPs, and drive cost improvements while ensuring compliance with standards and cross-functional alignment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a two-year college degree in procurement, supply chain management, industrial management, business administration or equivalent preferred.
• Strong knowledge and skill in MS Office software, material requisition systems and MRP/ERP Systems.
• Accurate analysis of spend, quality, and supplier performance data.
• Requires strong abilities to analyze data and situations of basic to moderate scope to accomplish objectives.

Responsibilities

• Streamline the supply chain process from order to delivery of product and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Prepare RFP/RFQ documents and drive total cost and margin improvement.
• Ensure compliance with Standards of Work and participate as a SOW auditor.
• Communicate results and status to suppliers, GSS, Innovations, Sales and Business Units.
• Negotiate requisitions and purchases to achieve best total cost.
• Use problem-solving skills to address supplier deficiencies and arrange corrective actions.
• Lead projects and teams as assigned.
