Job summary

Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS) in the United States seeks a Procurement professional to ensure on-time delivery, negotiate supplier terms, and manage supplier relationships across production and R&D. You will create and manage purchase orders and coordinate with engineering and operations to meet material needs.

The role emphasizes cost reduction, process improvements, and Lean initiatives within a manufacturing context.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business, Materials Management, Supply Chain, or related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years purchasing experience in manufacturing; Lean Manufacturing knowledge required.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; Proficiency in Windows suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• International purchasing experience is a plus; Oracle experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality and on-time delivery of parts, products, and services.
• Negotiate supplier terms for price, quality, and delivery.
• Issue RFQs and evaluate vendors on lead time, price, and value.
• Create, release, and monitor purchase orders and supplier commitments.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and operations on supply requirements.
• Assist in new product development with supplier quotes and agreements.
• Develop supplier relationships and monitor pricing trends and risks.
• Support cost reduction initiatives and inventory optimization.
