Job summary

Hunting Dearborn Division is seeking a self-motivated Buyer to negotiate, plan, and purchase goods and services, including raw materials, equipment, and MRO supplies. You will develop supplier relationships to support company goals and ensure alignment with internal customers and freight logistics.

The role emphasizes delivering cost savings, managing supplier performance, and coordinating cross-functional activities in a state-of-the-art manufacturing environment with a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 5–10 years of experience in Purchasing/Supply Chain field or related area preferred.
• Microsoft Office experience at an intermediate level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Generate requests for quotes, purchase orders and associated docs.
• Communicate with internal customers and suppliers regarding purchases and projects.
• Achieve year-over-year cost savings for assigned commodities/goods/services.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships for assigned categories.
• Manage supplier performance on quality, on-time delivery and cost.
• Coordinate supplier activities and communication with internal teams.
• Evaluate supplier proposals to determine best option based on needs.
