Job summary

Henderson Products in Manchester, IA, is seeking a Buyer to manage procurement for all six USCs, driving lean/JIT sourcing and collaborating with internal teams from order to delivery.

You will prepare RFPs/RFQs, pursue total cost and margin improvements, ensure SOW compliance, negotiate requisitions, analyze spend and supplier performance, and lead cost-saving projects in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Two-year college degree in procurement or related field.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, requisition systems and MRP/ERP.
• Able to analyze spend, quality, and supplier performance data.
• Ability to analyze data and situations of basic to moderate scope.

Responsibilities

• Streamline the supply chain process from order to delivery.
• Prepare RFP/RFQ documents and drive cost improvements.
• Comply with SOWs for GSS and act as SOW auditor.
• Negotiate requisitions to achieve best total cost/margin.
• Utilize problem solving to address supplier issues and credits.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts and lead projects.
