Job summary

Integrated Power Services is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Buyer to lead supplier selection, negotiation, and cost-saving initiatives. You will manage RFQs/RFPs from specification to award, evaluate suppliers, and drive commercial terms that support uptime for IPS customers.

You will collaborate with regional buyers, operations, and finance to ensure best value while mitigating risk. A strong background in ERP systems and MS Office, plus 3–7 years in strategic sourcing, is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, supply chain, or related field.
• Three to seven years of purchasing, procurement, and strategic sourcing experience.
• Experience with automation tools and ERP systems.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Experience managing sourcing across multiple locations or in a multi-site business.

Responsibilities

• Lead RFQs and RFPs from specification through award.
• Evaluate suppliers on price, quality, delivery, capability, financial stability, and risk.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, warranties, and other terms.
• Prepare sourcing recommendations supported by total cost analysis and clear rationale.
• Follow national agreement structures and category management strategies.
• Leverage spend across regions by coordinating with regional buyers.
• Monitor supplier performance against delivery, quality, and service expectations.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and supplier performance improvements.
