The University of Maryland College Park is seeking an early-career Buyer within the Procurement & Business Services team. You will manage routine and moderately complex procurements, from requirements development to award, contract and PO administration, within delegated authority.

You will work with campus departments, procurement colleagues, and suppliers to clarify requirements, perform market research, and prepare bid packages and related documentation.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Three (3) years of experience as a Buyer performing work involving development of vendor source and procurement of a variety of supplies.
• Additional work experience substitutable on a year-for-year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.

Responsabilidades

• Review and process requisitions; prepare and review purchase orders, contracts, solicitations, bid packages, and related documentation.
• Conduct competitive solicitations and evaluate supplier proposals; make award recommendations.
• Negotiate and administer contracts and purchase orders using University-approved terms and conditions; process change orders and expediting as needed.
• Support invoice-related issues and complete sole source actions within delegated authority; ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
