Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or related field and 13+ years in procurement, sourcing or supplier management.
• Minimum 6 years of proven managerial experience leading enterprise procurement organizations.
• Experience with procurement transformation, change leadership and platform modernization.
• Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, category management and value realization.
• Proven track record leveraging technology, analytics, automation, and AI to modernize procurement.
• Deep knowledge of third‑party risk management, governance and regulatory expectations.
• Executive presence with ability to influence senior leaders, boards and regulators.
• Outstanding financial skills, analytics, business case development and stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and execution of a forward-looking procurement strategy across the Bank.
• Lead sourcing strategy and governance; negotiate and manage high-value supplier relationships.
• Champion AI, intelligent automation, analytics, and modern source-to-pay capabilities.
• Establish governance for enterprise spending; enhance transparency and smarter investments.
• Lead a third‑party risk program aligned with regulatory expectations and risk appetite.
• Provide leadership during acquisitions and strategic transactions to maximize value.
• Build and develop a high-performing procurement team focused on innovation and collaboration.
• Adhere to risk and regulatory standards; strengthen internal controls and escalation processes.
• Promote a culture of belonging and uphold M&T Bank brand; manage staffing and performance.
