Job summary

M.C. Dean, Building Intelligence, seeks a Purchasing Agent to liaison between Procurement and internal stakeholders and to manage high-visibility programs, ensuring timely and efficient execution across our portfolio of projects.

Responsibilities include bidding-phase procurement planning, supplier prequalification, contract negotiations, post-award implementation, market analysis, and travel to sites as needed to support program success.

Qualifications

• Leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
• Sourcing, negotiating contracts with OEMs, construction/subcontractors and fabricators.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Procurement planning during the bidding phase, including understanding contract specs and BOMs.
• Sourcing, identifying, and prequalifying vendors; developing comprehensive RFPs.
• Negotiating and finalizing agreements; developing the procurement plan.
• Post-award procurement planning and implementation on major projects.
• Reading, understanding, and interpreting contract documents, drawings and schedules; travel to sites as needed.
