Job summary

Smurfit Westrock, NYSE: SW, is seeking a Pre-Pricing Specialist in New Jersey to provide strategic pricing guidance for new and existing customers and products, developing estimates and managing the quoting process. You will collaborate with Sales and cross-functional teams to maximize profitability, analyze pricing data, and drive margin improvement while ensuring data accuracy in quoting systems.

• Experience in Paper Manufacturing or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to adjust style across levels.

• Well organized with strong time management to handle multiple priorities.
• Detail-oriented with meticulous attention to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide pricing guidance and manage the pricing process for new and existing customers and products.
• Develop new and revised item estimates and manage the quoting process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize profitability via pricing strategies.
• Determine appropriate pricing using market intelligence and pricing strategies.
• Work with Sales to align pricing with company goals.
• Develop and utilize pricing tools to respond to changing market needs.
• Analyze prices in the current portfolio from pricing quality and margin perspectives.
• Oversee price change processes and price record updates.
• Identify margin improvement opportunities and collaborate to implement them.
• Ensure data accuracy in quoting and estimating systems.
• Gain understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment limitations.
