Job summary

INX International Ink Co. in Schaumburg, IL, is hiring a Deal Desk Specialist (Pricing & Contract Specialist) to support pricing strategy, contract administration, and commercial analysis.

You will work with Sales, Finance, Product Management, Customer Service, Contracts Administration, and Supply Chain to evaluate opportunities, streamline processes, and protect margins. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree and advanced Excel; SAP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a 4-year college or university in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
• Working knowledge of financial modeling, margin, and contribution analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare discounted cash flow (DCF) and margin evaluations for new deals using approved Company templates and models.
• Test deal sensitivity to key variables and identify the assumptions that most affect the outcome.
• Assemble complete deal packages with findings, risks, and a recommendation, and submit to the Deal Desk Manager for review.
• Maintain the deal pipeline log, track status through approval, and follow up on outstanding items.
• Track, calculate, and administer raw material, index-based, and contractual price increases per terms.
• Maintain the contractual pricing calendar and initiate actions ahead of effective dates and notice deadlines.
• Interpret pricing clauses, validate calculation methodology, and prepare supporting docs for customer notifications.
• Monitor customer performance against contractual commitments such as volume tiers, rebate thresholds, and pricing terms.
• Identify variances between contracted and realized pricing, investigate root cause, and elevate non-compliance with a recommended action.
• Prepare periodic contract adherence reporting for Deal Desk Manager and leadership.
• Enter and maintain pricing data in SAP per pricing policy and approvals.
• Validate entries and correct discrepancies to protect margin and data accuracy.
• Document deal desk methodology and instructions; seek automation opportunities.
• Drive process automation through CRM (Salesforce.com).
• Perform NPV and margin analysis; develop recommendations on commercial deals.
