Job summary

Ajax Building Company, part of the STO Building group, seeks an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead project planning and cost strategy from early concept through GMP, aligning design, budget, and constructability.

This client-facing role requires strong leadership in meetings and the ability to influence the design process. It supports project teams across Florida, with some travel to client sites and meetings.

Qualifications

• Must have client-facing experience and strong leadership in meetings.
• Proven ability to guide design/estimate collaboration and influence decisions.
• Experience leading preconstruction from concept through GMP development.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction efforts from conceptual budgeting through design development and GMP execution with Operations.
• Guide pricing, validate estimates, and align with project goals.
• Develop budgets, cost models, and design-phase estimates without detailed quantity takeoffs.
• Create and distribute design-phase deliverables, cost reports, VE analyses, and budget updates.
• Lead GMP proposal development and client presentations.
