Job summary

CBI Construction is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to help establish budgets, estimate assemblies and source trade partners. You will manage preconstruction and buyout processes, coordinating with civil engineers, architects and the procurement team to ensure accurate estimates and complete proposals.

The role requires strong organizational and analytical skills, 5+ years of construction management experience, and the ability to read drawings and manage VE opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Minimum 5 years' experience with construction management from pre-construction through close-out.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural/consultant drawings.
• Experience with VE (value engineering) and coordination across design disciplines.
• Proficient with Excel, project scheduling and take-off software.

Responsibilities

• Help establish project budgets and estimate construction assemblies.
• Source trade partners and maintain trade partner database.
• Administer preconstruction and buyout processes.
• Review plans and specs, provide take-offs and scope definitions.
• Coordinate with Civil Engineer and Architect of Record for vetting drawings.
• Direct scope and pricing strategy with project management team.
• Monitor budget vs costs and analyze variances for future projects.
• Support travel to meet trade partners, job sites and deadlines.
