Job summary

CBI Construction is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to help establish project budgets and estimate construction assemblies, source trade partners, and manage the preconstruction and buyout process. You will collaborate with the Director of Preconstruction, Procurement team, and Project Management to ensure accurate estimates and effective bidding strategies.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's in Construction Management (or related field) and 5+ years of comprehensive construction

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.
Minimum 5 years' professional experience in construction management from pre-construction through close-out.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and consultant drawings; perform detailed take-offs.

Responsibilities

Establish construction budgets and estimate assemblies for projects.
Source trade partners and maintain trade partner database.
Administer preconstruction and buyout process; coordinate with design, civil engineers, and architects.
Develop preconstruction schedules and ensure alignment with project timelines.
Negotiate trade partner labor, equipment, materials and General Conditions.
Review budget variances and report to Project Management team.
Support VE analysis and value engineering opportunities for affordability.
