Mavin Construction LLC is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to lead estimating and preconstruction efforts from concept through turnover. You will guide internal teams, clients, and trade partners to achieve budget, schedule, quality, and constructability goals.

The role emphasizes driving accountability, leveraging technology, and building strong relationships to elevate performance across preconstruction processes.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, Pre-Con Manager or Estimator.
• Familiarity with industry specific software related to project management, accounting, scheduling, estimating, takeoff and BIM.
• Must be a licensed driver with reliable transportation to and from job sites.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be able to perform detailed estimates with very schematic information by filling in the blanks for details not shown by having an intimate knowledge of construction.
• Must be able to lead the client in making informed decisions around cost without leaning on subcontractors at all times.
• Lead the technology advancement and define our internal workflows for items like takeoff, estimating, bid invites, modeling and clash detection so we can be a leader in our industry leveraging technology in the delivery of our services.

Aufgaben

• Actively participate in internal company meetings, including weekly team and quarterly company meetings.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Support business development efforts, including client engagement and opportunity tracking.
• Maintain and continuously improve estimating databases, tools, and workflows.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in preconstruction and estimating practices.
• Provide regular updates on project workload and opportunity pipeline.
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation of estimates, budgets, and project data.
• Support the refinement and standardization of internal preconstruction processes.
• Lead responses to RFPs, including participation in interviews and presentations.
• Facilitate client meetings and guide early project planning discussions.
• Perform site evaluations and develop detailed scope narratives.
• Prepare conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, and cost analyses.
• Solicit, level, and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals.
• Lead value engineering and cost optimization efforts.
• Initial Project Planning with Owners.
• Design Oversight: Coordinate and lead design meetings; manage costs; municipal coordination and permit applications; procurement of architects/engineers/vendors or subcontractors.
• Submittals (PM/APM responsibility; rare)
• Kickoff Submittal Process to assist in expediting a project.
• Build/Leverage software tools that expedite internal processes.
• Lead large change order estimates and BIM-related tasks.
• Project Closeout: As-Builts with BIM; Owner trainings.
• Attend industry-specific events as needed.
• Assist with Construction - specific hiring process including interviews and onboarding
