Job summary

DOC is seeking a Preconstruction Manager in the New England region with hybrid work options. You will lead projects during the design and planning phase, partnering with owners, architects, engineers, estimators, and internal teams to align cost, schedule, quality, and constructability with client goals.

Responsibilities include developing detailed preconstruction plans, guiding design-phase activities, managing risks, and coordinating design-build or design-assist packages.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of construction management experience.
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication abilities.
• Strong planning, organization, and risk management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Preconstruction Process with detailed work plans and stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary contact during the design phase and coordinate meetings.
• Provide cost, scheduling, logistics, risk mitigation, and constructability guidance to owners and design teams.
• Ensure designs align with owner objectives and approved budgets; support value design and lean practices.
• Coordinate design-build or design-assist packages and support public bidding as applicable.
• Foster proposals development and continuous improvement; build strong client and trade partner relationships.
