Job summary

Cadwell Industries, Inc. is seeking a Pre-Planning Project Manager to bridge Sales and Implementation teams.

You will drive the pre-sales process, gather requirements, and ensure accurate SOWs before purchase orders, including on-site site assessments for large prospective customers. This role ensures a smooth handoff to Project Managers, coordinates with installation and training teams, and maintains up-to-date planning documents.

Qualifications

• Exemplary listening, communication, and collaboration skills across Sales, clinical, and technical teams.
• Strong ability to articulate technical requirements clearly to stakeholders and customers.
• Experience with SOW development and management in healthcare technology.
• Understanding of medical device hardware and IT infrastructure in clinical environments.
• Approximately 3+ years of experience in implementation planning or project management.
• Willingness to travel to prospective customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for technical sales inquiries and pre-sales collaboration.
• Own the SOW process for assigned opportunities, ensuring thorough and accurate documents before purchase.
• Engage with Sales and prospective customers early to gather implementation requirements and workflow details.
• Document all agreed implementation deliverables, timelines, hardware requirements, software configurations, and training scope within a detailed SOW.
• Coordinate internal review and approval of SOWs with the Sales Team and stakeholders.
• Ensure SOWs are signed and stored according to team standards for signatures-ready documents.
• Identify ambiguous or high-risk SOW elements that could impact downstream implementation.
• Conduct pre-planning site assessments for large prospective customers, evaluating existing hardware, network infrastructure, and IT environment.
• Facilitate handoff to Project Managers with planning docs and contacts prior to kickoff.
• Work with Installation and Training teams to set timelines and resource needs before handoff.
• Develop knowledge of Cadwell's hardware portfolio to assess compatibility and upgrade paths.
• Assist with planning and SOW process requirements for new product introductions and enhancements.
• Use KPIs to evaluate performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Participate in scheduled Implementation Team meetings and Sales calls to maximize alignment.
• Escalate issues to the Manager of the Technical Project Management Team promptly.
• Perform other duties as directed or required.
