Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Research Financial Portfolio Manager to advise on budgets and spending for PI-sponsored projects and to ensure compliance with sponsor requirements.

You will partner with Research Support and Sponsored Programs offices to manage post-award finances for departments, divisions, and principal investigators, with emphasis on NIH/FGP guidelines and GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Master’s degree and/or CRA/CFRA preferred.
• Minimum five years of grant/research administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive financial advice and planning for each PI’s sponsored projects funding portfolio.
• Synchronize funding sources into an integrated strategy for the PI’s portfolio.
• Communicate accurate financial data to PIs, sponsors, and administration; maintain portfolio reports.
• Implement post-award policies to ensure sponsor compliance and GAAP.
• Assist with budgeting and spend projections for departments and PIs.
• Serve as liaison between PIs and central research administration and finance units.
