Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to lead large, high‑risk strategic projects. You will coordinate with Strategy Managers, PMOs and executive sponsors to guarantee value delivery within time, scope, and budget.

You will partner with the ADUSA Portfolio team to provide transparency on interdependencies, risks, and status. The role supports governance, change management, and ongoing program optimization in a dynamic, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years' experience leading project work and/or teams.
• Experience leading capabilities/features within project management software.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and build influence without formal authority.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Strategy Managers, Project Managers, Business Leads and sponsors to set baseline objectives, scope, schedule, budget and resources.
• Ensure alignment of project scope with ADUSA strategy and goals.
• Develop project charters, obtain approvals, and manage scope changes.
• Contribute to executive communications and Steering Committee materials.
• Act as a strategic partner to influence program direction and governance.
• Maintain project plans, risks, issues, and dependencies in the PMO tool for portfolio initiatives.
• Provide status reporting with transparency on progress, risks, and decisions.
• Foster knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the team.
• Communicate clearly and manage day-to-day priorities efficiently.
• Facilitate effective meetings and drive decisions and next steps.
• Collaborate with change management and communications teams to maximize adoption.
• Support management with stakeholder alignment and escalation when needed.
• Pursue PM certifications and stay current with industry best practices.
