Job summary

GE Vernova’s Gas Power business seeks a Director to lead the execution of Simple and Combined Cycle projects within our Heavy Duty Gas Power portfolio. You will manage portfolio health, align resources, risks, and performance to drive value across multiple projects, with a focus on proactive strategic execution.

The role emphasizes leadership of Project Managers, risk management, and stakeholder engagement, operating in a remote-capable environment within the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• 10+ years of experience leading mega-projects or complex portfolios within the Energy or large-scale infrastructure sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex business challenges into clear, actionable project strategies.
• Proven experience in developing talent, coaching project teams, and building a high-performance culture within a matrixed organization.
• Proven record of identifying systemic issues and implementing solutions across interdependent workstreams.
• Advanced ability to represent the organization at the C-Suite level, facilitating high-stakes negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Vision & Portfolio Management: Manage health of multiple projects, balance resources, risks, and performance across the portfolio.
• Strategic Execution: Define long-term project strategies and anticipate market, technical, and customer-driven challenges.
• Complex Problem-Solving: Escalation point for cross-functional bottlenecks and deploy analytical techniques.
• Stakeholder Influence: Align internal and external stakeholders toward a unified, long-term vision.
• Customer Ownership: Develop executive relationships to drive cross-portfolio issue resolution and execution.
• People Leadership: Lead and develop a team of Project Managers with coaching and performance feedback.
• Coaching & Team Development: Mentor high-potential Project Managers and drive leadership pipeline.
• Risk, EHS & Quality Leadership: Enforce zero-compromise standards for EHS and quality.
