Job summary

EMCOR Facilities Services, Inc. is seeking a Director to set the strategic direction of the Projects Team in Cincinnati. The role reports to the Departmental VP and oversees Senior Project Managers who coordinate project delivery to meet client and company goals.

The position emphasizes process improvement, KPI tracking, talent development, and safety. A strong leadership background and PMI Certification are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field requiring critical thinking, leadership and communication skills.
• MBA preferred.
• Ten to fifteen years of experience in Construction Management.
• PMI Certification required.
• LEED Associate or State General Contracting Licenses a plus.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Continuously evaluate departmental processes and use of technology to improve effectiveness.
• Evaluate processes and technology with a view to continuous improvement.
• Develop new processes and provide training to team members.
• Ensure the team tracks KPIs and achieves superior results.
• Evaluate new project opportunities and assign tasks based on skills.
• Manage project portfolios using data on profitability and project managers.
• Monitor non-billable time and project costs across the team.
• Ensure timely project completion and proper punch list closure.
• Maintain pipeline and capacity planning for the team.
• Hire, orient, and develop new employees.
• Coach and provide performance feedback to team members.
• Ensure safety training across the group and perform site safety audits.
