Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking an experienced Lead Business & Technical Consultant to oversee the PMC project portfolio. You will coordinate cross-functional work, drive portfolio performance, monitor metrics, and lead initiatives across System Planning and Construction.

You will design and implement data-driven solutions, develop dashboards, and communicate insights to executives. Expect complex, enterprise-scale projects and a strong governance mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Business Administration, MIS, CS, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or related discipline.
• Nine years of related work experience, or HS/GED with 15+ years relevant experience.
• Utility industry experience.
• Excellent working knowledge of PMC work processes.
• Budgeting or financial analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide business and technology expertise to identify, analyze, and resolve high-impact, cross-functional issues.
• Plan and coordinate high-impact, complex studies and projects with extensive technical and business expertise.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally, and maintain accurate records and files.
• Develop productive relationships with leaders across PMC and supporting business units.
• Frame problems with stakeholders and define analytical context and scope for timely results.
• Coordinate with subject-matter experts and conduct structured interviews for valid data.
• Lead sessions to develop alternatives and evaluate risk preferences.
• Present analytical results clearly to decision-makers.
• Develop practical, actionable recommendations supported by models and data.
