Job summary

Sanmina Corporation, Houston Energy facility, seeks an experienced Plant Controller to lead the financial function and drive profitability. The role partners closely with the Plant Manager to control costs, forecast accurately, and deliver reliable financial insights.

You will push for margin optimization, lead cost accounting and inventory valuation, and collaborate across production, purchasing, and planning to improve predictability and discipline in reporting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive financial leadership including plant controller experience.
• Ability to translate complex financial concepts for operations teams.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience managing large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Own the financial function for the Houston site, partnering with the Plant Manager to control costs and budgets.
• Drive margin improvement through part-level margin analysis and pricing recommendations.
• Own plant cost accounting, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and E&O management.
• Improve operational predictability by collaborating with production, purchasing, and materials planning.
• Lead the monthly and quarterly financial close and reporting processes, ensuring GAAP compliance.
• Manage capital expenditure planning and analysis with strong internal controls.
• Advise the cross-functional management team on financial impact of daily operational decisions.
• Develop automated financial processes and manage large datasets using advanced Excel capabilities.
