Job summary

Elementis PLC seeks a seasoned US Plant Controller to oversee plant accounting, reporting, budgeting and cost management for New Martinsville and New York operations. You will lead month-end closes, cost analyses, inventory and fixed asset controls, and capital investment processes across multiple sites.

You will partner with plant leadership to deliver accurate financial data, drive improvements, and ensure robust controls while supporting global accounting standards and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of plant and manufacturing accounting, including cost accounting, standard costing and manufacturing variance analysis.
• Advanced experience using ERP systems in a manufacturing environment; JD Edwards experience is preferred. Familiarity with capital investment management systems such as Finario is relevant to the role.
• Advanced capability in forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis, inventory control and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting; proficiency with PowerPoint, Access and Word

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly plant accounting close, including variancereview and reconciliations for inventory and fixed assets.
• Support the annual operating plan, ongoing forecasts and plant financial reporting with cost, budgets, trends and performance analysis.
• Manage plant product costing and standard costs, ensuring costs reflect operations and support analysis of manufacturing performance and variances.
• Oversee inventory and fixed asset accounting and controls, including reconciliations, cycle counts and participation in the capital expenditure approval process.
• Own the local Finario system, maintain data integrity and support management of the plant capital investment portfolio; provide JD Edwards system support and contribute to plant system development and implementation.
• Support special projects and identify opportunities to strengthen accounting processes, controls and cost management.
