Job summary

Clarios, located in Florence, KY, seeks a Plant Buyer to partner with manufacturing plants, aligning plant priorities with procurement strategies to improve cost, supplier performance, and continuity of supply.

You will build relationships with plant leadership, lead spend analysis, drive supplier selection, and implement sourcing initiatives across multiple locations while ensuring operations are supported, not bottlenecks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in Procurement, sourcing, manufacturing, supply chain, or plant operations.
• Lean techniques and facilitation (A3, VSM, Kaizen).
• Strong negotiation, analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple manufacturing locations.
• Strong Excel skills, Power BI, RFQ Tools required.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with plant leadership and stakeholders across assigned plants.
• Analyze supplier spend to identify savings, cost avoidance, benchmarking, consolidation, and sourcing opportunities.
• Influence sourcing decisions by bringing market intelligence, supplier insights, category expertise, and total-cost-of-ownership analyses to plant stakeholders.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions as needed.
• Support effective supplier selection, new supplier requests, purchase-order practices, and sourcing decisions.
• Ensure procurement enables plant operations without bottlenecks.
