Job summary

Clarios is seeking a Plant Buyer to serve as the primary procurement partner for assigned manufacturing plants, building strong relationships with Plant Leadership, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Finance. The role translates plant priorities into procurement solutions that improve cost, supplier performance, efficiency, and continuity of supply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
• Experience in procurement, sourcing, manufacturing, or plant operations.
• Lean techniques and facilitation (A3, VSM, Kaizen).
• Strong negotiation, analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple manufacturing locations.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to balance cost objectives with operational requirements and supply continuity.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with leadership and stakeholders across assigned plants.
• Influence sourcing decisions with market intelligence and total-cost analyses.
• Manage supplier spend to identify savings, cost avoidance, and opportunities.
• Support effective supplier selection and RFQ processes.
• Collaborate with Plant Finance to understand spend trends and price changes.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions when needed.
