Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Strategic Planning & Operations Sr Mgr to serve as a strategic partner to the GCCI leadership. This role drives planning, governance, and transformation initiatives across a global organization, aligning strategy with execution and optimizing performance.

The position supports a flexible commuter model to Thousand Oaks, CA or Deerfield, IL, with on-site presence a minimum of 3 days per week.

Qualifications

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Strategic Planning & Operations experience OR
Masters degree and 4 years of Strategic Planning & Operations experience OR
Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Strategic Planning & Operations experience OR
Associates degree and 10 years of Strategic Planning & Operations experience OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Strategic Planning & Operations experience

Responsibilities

Act as strategic partner to GCCI Director and leadership team to translate strategy into execution.
Drive business planning, operational excellence, governance, and transformation initiatives across GCCI.
Develop and manage KPIs, dashboards, and executive reporting to monitor performance.
Coordinate leadership meetings, planning sessions, and events with clear objectives and follow-up.
Track milestones, risks, dependencies, and opportunities across workstreams.
Synthesize information and drive follow-through on leadership priorities and actions.
Lead organizational transformation initiatives and adoption of new ways of working.
