Vance-Granville Community College seeks an Assistant Director of Planning & Research to ensure institutional effectiveness, assessment, program review, and accreditation processes run smoothly. You will manage Watermark-based systems and coordinate reporting to SACSCOC, serving as a backup liaison when needed.

Based at the Main Campus in Henderson, NC, this role offers teleworking up to 1 day per week after nine months with supervisor approval.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4–6 years of professional experience in institutional research, assessment, accreditation, or academic planning.
• Experience with outcomes assessment, program review, survey design, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administration, configuration, and data management of Watermark products across the college.
• Assist the Director in records, documentation, and reporting for SACSCOC; serve as secondary contact for regional accreditor.
• Coordinate annual outcomes assessment processes and review reports for rigor.
• Manage program review process from planning to reporting; ensure completeness and quality.
• Design, administer, and analyze institutional surveys; summarize results for stakeholders.
• Identify factors affecting retention and student success; present findings to leadership.
• Prepare periodic reports for IPEDS and other agencies.
