Job summary

Vance-Granville Community College in Henderson, NC seeks an Assistant Director of Planning & Research to oversee institutional effectiveness, assessment, program review, and accreditation compliance, with responsibility for Watermark products and related reporting.

Reporting to the Director of Planning & Research, you will coordinate outcomes assessment, lead data analysis, and prepare reports for local, state, and regional stakeholders; teleworking up to one day weekly after nine months.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in institutional research, higher education administration, assessment, statistics, or related discipline.
4–6 years of professional experience in institutional research, assessment, accreditation, or academic planning.
Experience with outcomes assessment, program review, survey design, and data analysis.
Experience with Watermark, Anthology, or comparable systems for institutional research.

Responsibilities

Oversee administration, configuration, and data management of Watermark products across the college.
Assist the Director in maintaining records, documentation, and reporting for SACSCOC.
Coordinate annual outcomes assessment processes and review reports for rigor.
Manage program review processes including planning, coordinating, and analyzing reports.
Design and analyze institutional surveys and summarize results for stakeholders.
Lead training sessions for faculty and staff on assessment and planning.
Use Informer queries to extract data supporting reporting and planning.
