Job summary

Fairbanks Morse Defense in Salem, MA is seeking a Planning & Control Manager to mentor a team of Customer Account Managers and oversee critical forecasting, cost analysis, and enterprise program management standards.

This role synchronizes operations, planning, and multi-department workflows to ensure disciplined project flow, accurate forecasting, and high customer satisfaction across manufacturing and delivery processes.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Project Managers or similar customer-facing technical teams.
• Strong forecasting and cost management skills.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and production scheduling.
• Excellent verbal communication and ability to lead cross-functional meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Planning & Scheduling Team across product releases and work order routing.
• Oversee Forecast Maintenance including monthly forecast, revenue, and invoicing forecasts.
• Manage cost build-ups with historical costing and current production costing.
• Oversee PMO reviews, EAC performance, and margin adjustments.
• Coordinate cross-functional flow across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Scheduling, and Finance to maintain schedule integrity.
