Job summary

San Manuel is seeking a Planning & Development Manager to oversee multiple real estate projects from inception through completion. You will drive financial models, forecasts, budgets, and performance reporting to support strategic development initiatives.

The role requires extensive experience in land use planning, entitlement processes, and development management, with a focus on coordinating teams and external partners to achieve timely, cost-effective outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required (see education).
• Ten years of experience in strategic planning, portfolio management, financial analysis and development management.
• Experience in real estate acquisitions, leasing, entitlements and development management may substitute for some education.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains financial models, proformas, forecasts and long-range plans to support acquisitions, leasing strategies, capital investments and asset management.
• Leads real estate development projects from site identification through entitlement, permitting, construction and completion.
• Manages entitlement processes including General Plan amendments, zoning changes and development agreements.
• Identifies, evaluates and pursues land and development opportunities and coordinates due diligence activities.
• Leads preparation and implementations of long-range land use plans and coordinates planning efforts among agencies, developers and engineers.
• Leads enterprise-wide financial planning, analysis, and reporting with monthly/quarterly/annual performance reviews and risk analysis.
• Ensures the accuracy and completeness of project documentation from third party vendors and consultants.
