Job summary

Everforth ECS Federal has an immediate opening for a Strategic Planner in the National Capital Region, supporting a DoD customer. The role develops deliberate planning concepts, translates guidance into executable plans, and leads planning teams across the task force and mission partners.

The position requires an experienced action officer with minimal supervision, strong writing and briefing skills, and the ability to drive planning from initiation to completion in a fast-paced headquarters

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; 10+ years of relevant operational or headquarters staff experience.
• Experience leading planning teams and cross-functional planning efforts to completion.
• Ability to produce deliberate planning products and concepts of operation.

Responsibilities

• Convert guidance and requirements into deliberate plans, branches, sequels, orders, and staff products.
• Lead planning teams, working groups, and integrated planning across the task force.
• Build cross-functional teams to address planning needs spanning boundaries and agencies.
• Coordinate assumptions, decision points, and dependencies across directorates.
• Conduct deliberate planning for future mission requirements and unmanned systems domains.
• Own planning requirements from initiation to completion with Stakeholder coordination.
• Ensure planning products respect authorities and jurisdictional boundaries.
• Synchronize planning with staff sections, Services, combatant commands, and partners.
• Coordinate transition of plans into future operations and execution.
• Represent the directorate at planning boards and coordination forums.
• Support development of workflows and dashboards, including AI-enabled tools.
• Prepare and deliver briefings to leadership and operational customers.
