Torrey Holistics is seeking a Quality Assurance & Code Compliance Manager for industrial piping projects in Michigan. The role leads the QMS to ASME, AWS, API, and client specs, and coordinates ITPs, QCPs, WPSs, PQRs with audits and corrective actions.

It requires 8+ years QA/QC in piping, CWI certification, and hands-on NDE coordination. Travel up to 40% across sites, shops, and facilities while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in mechanical engineering, construction management, or related field preferred.
• Associate's degree with relevant experience considered.
• HS diploma/GED plus 12+ years progressive piping QA/QC leadership may substitute.
• 8+ years QA/QC in industrial piping construction or fabrication.
• 5+ years supervising or leading QC on union projects.
• ASME B31.1/B31.3 programs administration experience.
• AWS CWI certification required; OSHA 30-Hour Construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain QMS aligned with ASME, AWS, API, ANSI and client specs.
• Author ITPs, QCPs, WPSs, PQRs; manage document control, NCR/CAR workflows.
• Lead internal audits; prepare for client/third-party audits and close findings.
• Administer welder qualifications per ASME IX and AWS D1.1/D1.6; coordinate testing.
• Oversee weld mapping, PWHT documentation, heat treatment records.
• Plan and accept NDE: RT, UT, MT, PT, VT, PMI; review reports.
• Lead field QC Inspectors; coordinate with OI/AI/AIA reps; tests per code.
• Enforce material traceability, heat numbers, PMI.
• Inspect supports, hangers, joints, and components from fit-up to final.
• Act as Code Authority for piping programs; liaise with AIA; secure permits.
• Engage clients and regulators; manage RFIs, NCR responses, submittals; present KPIs.
• Recruit, mentor, and train QC Inspectors; collaborate with union stewards.
