Job summary

Hospital for Special Surgery is seeking a Business Operations Manager to oversee daily physician practice operations and ensure alignment with overall Service Line goals. You will collaborate with physicians, staff, and leadership to drive efficiency and patient care excellence.

This role reports to the Service Line Director, supervises office managers, and leads initiatives in workflow optimization, staffing, and performance reporting across the department.

Qualifications

• Education – Required: Bachelor degree.
• Education – Preferred: Master degree.
• 4+ years’ progressive experience in a hospital setting; advanced healthcare degree may be considered in lieu of experience requirements (e.g. MPH, MHA, MBA, etc.)
• Experience managing direct reports

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of physician practices and align with Service Line goals.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to meet strategic initiatives.
• Manage office managers and supervise physician office staff.
• Lead workflow optimization and performance reporting across the department.
• Develop staffing plans to support initiatives.
