Job summary

Hospital for Special Surgery in New York seeks a Program Director, Office of Medical Leadership (OML) to partner with the Physician-in-Chief (PIC) and drive strategic initiatives, governance and executive communications across clinical and administrative teams.

You will translate priorities into actionable plans, manage cross-functional projects, prepare executive briefings and meetings, and ensure accountability and alignment with enterprise objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; healthcare admin or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in healthcare, executive support, or related roles.
• Experience partnering with senior executives or physician leaders.
• Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the PIC to manage a dynamic portfolio of strategic initiatives.
• Develop project plans, monitor progress, identify risks, and ensure deliverables.
• Prepare the PIC for executive meetings, Board presentations, governance forums.
• Lead physician leadership meetings and governance forums with agenda development and follow-up.
• Translate strategic discussions into actionable plans and track decisions.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives across clinical, operational, and administrative teams.
• Develop executive presentations and briefing materials.
• Synthesize information for concise analyses and recommendations.
• Conduct benchmarking to inform leadership discussions.
• Drive change management for strategic initiatives.
