Job summary

PSG Pharmacy Solutions Group of Ohio is seeking a Pharmacy Purchasing Manager. The role oversees procurement of medications, medical supplies, and pharmacy equipment, negotiates supplier contracts, and ensures efficient inventory management to support operations.

Responsibilities include managing inventory levels, ensuring regulatory compliance, leading the purchasing team, and communicating with vendors to forecast needs and report on purchasing activities and budgets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in pharmacy purchasing or inventory management.
• Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, purchasing and inventory management.
• Experience with SureCost preferred.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing Management: Oversee procurement of medications, medical supplies, and pharmacy equipment; negotiate contracts; monitor market trends.
• Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels, ensure availability of essential medications and minimize excess stock; conduct regular audits.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with federal/state regs and internal policies; maintain records.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and train purchasing staff; foster collaboration across teams.
• Collaboration and Communication: Forecast needs and report on purchasing activities, inventory, and budget.
