Job summary

TensorWave Inc. is seeking a People Business Partner to act as the strategic People Operations partner to leaders across the company. This hands-on role shapes how teams are organized, led, and developed, going beyond process requests.

The role involves coaching managers, translating business priorities into people plans, and partnering with Employee Relations, Recruiting, and People Experience to deliver impact as TensorWave scales.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in People Operations with at least 2 years in a business partner role.
• Experience partnering with tech orgs and product/engineering teams.
• Ability to influence senior managers and push back when needed.
• Experience in organizational design, change management, and team growth.
• Strong coaching and communication skills.
• Knowledge of North America employment law and escalation processes.
• Comfort supporting a distributed/remote workforce across multiple states or countries.
• Experience with performance management, talent reviews, compensation cycles, and career development frameworks.
• Careful with people data and ability to tell a clear story to drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Advise leaders as trusted People Operations partner to drive people plans.
• Translate goals into plans covering headcount, structure, capability gaps, and succession.
• Collaborate on organizational design, team growth, restructurings, and change management.
• Use headcount, attrition, engagement, and performance data to surface insights.
• Coach managers on day-to-day leadership, provide guidance to new managers.
• Lead talent reviews and succession conversations.
• Support onboarding, employee relations, and program rollout with cross-functional teams.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition on workforce planning and leveling decisions.
• Contribute to compensation planning and ensure equity across teams.
