Job summary

New Jersey Family Planning League Inc. seeks a Senior Director of People & Culture to partner with the President & CEO, shape people strategy, and lead all HR functions in a nonprofit setting.

You will guide employee relations, recruitment, performance management, compensation, benefits, compliance, and organizational development, while fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressively responsible human resources experience, including at least three years leading an HR function.
• Experience in employee relations, compliance, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, and benefits administration required.
• Experience advising managers and senior leadership on workforce and organizational issues required.
• Demonstrated experience applying New Jersey employment requirements and managing a small to mid-sized nonprofit HR function.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic partner to President & CEO on people strategies and workforce planning.
• Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts and implement retention strategies.
• Provide guidance on performance management, investigations, and employee development.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain HR policies.
• Lead organizational development and employee engagement initiatives across the organization.
• Oversee HR operations, HRIS, data integrity, reporting, and process improvements.
