Job summary

Forj Medical is seeking a Commodity Manager – PCBA to lead strategic sourcing for PCBA and electronic components, guiding EMS partners and suppliers. You will partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Planning to support new product introductions and sustained production while driving cost reduction and supply continuity.

The role requires 7+ years in strategic sourcing and 3+ years in PCBA/Electronic component sourcing, with strong negotiation and ERP/MRP skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering (Electrical/Electronics preferred), or related field required.
• CPSM, CSCP, CPIM, or MBA preferred.
• 7+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, and commodity management experience.
• 3+ years of experience sourcing PCBA, electronic components, or EMS services specifically.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commodity strategies for PCBA and electronic components (EMS providers, bare boards, passives, semiconductors, connectors, and related materials).
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives including EMS/contract manufacturers and electronic component suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and long-term supplier agreements with EMS partners and component distributors/OEMs.
• Manage supplier performance through demand forecasting, scorecards, and business reviews specific to PCBA suppliers.
• Drive cost reduction, risk mitigation, and supply continuity for PCBA sustaining production and transfers.
• Partner with Engineering to support supplier selection and DFM/DFT input for new product introductions.
• Collaborate with Buyers and Planning to resolve shortages and supplier escalations.
