Job summary

CRB is seeking a strategic Payroll Manager to lead end-to-end payroll for a multi-state, project-based organization. This role reports to HR/Finance and partners with Benefits, IT, and Accounting to optimize payroll processes.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of payroll experience with leadership and strong knowledge of HRIS platforms (Workday/Dayforce). Hybrid work model with in-office presence in Kansas City, MO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, Business Admin or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, including leadership.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience managing payroll teams.
• Experience processing payroll in a multi-state environment.
• Experience with Workday, Dayforce, or comparable enterprise payroll/HRIS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead payroll operations across multi-state payrolls to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Direct the day-to-day activities and development of payroll personnel.
• Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, local, and applicable regulations.
