Job summary

CFS in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Specialist to maintain accurate payroll and robust benefits administration. This onsite role partners with leadership to ensure compliance, data integrity in the HRIS, and a positive employee experience.

You will own bi-weekly payroll for ~300 employees, manage benefits enrollments and life events, participate in annual open enrollment, and support regulatory reporting to drive workforce decisions.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in payroll, benefits administration, HRIS, HR/finance environment.
• Hands-on payroll processing and HRIS experience (UKG preferred).
• Analytical and detail-oriented with emphasis on accuracy and compliance.
• Knowledge of payroll regulations and benefits administration best practices.
• Experience supporting audits and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end bi-weekly payroll for ~300 employees, incl. commissions and bonuses.
• Administer comprehensive employee benefits programs, including enrollments, life events, deductions, vendor relationships.
• Maintain HRIS data integrity, oversee system configurations, and generate workforce reporting.
• Lead compliance activities and audit preparation (ACA, 401(k), EEO-1, unemployment, workers' comp).
• Serve as primary resource for payroll/benefits/HRIS inquiries and policies.
• Support annual open enrollment and benefits communications to drive engagement.
