Job summary

CFS in Cleveland, Ohio is seeking a hands-on Payroll & Benefits Administrator to own multi-state payroll, benefits administration, compliance, reporting, and HR systems. This role partners with HR, Accounting, leadership, employees, and benefit vendors.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, proficient with ADP Workforce Now and Excel, and capable of resolving complex payroll and benefits issues while driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; accounting/finance coursework preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive payroll and benefits experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage multi-state payroll processing, including garnishments, deductions, bonuses, commissions, retroactive pay, and taxation.
• Research and interpret payroll regulations and implement changes to policies and systems.
• Conduct payroll and benefits audits, reconciliations, and quality-control reviews.
• Manage timekeeping, tax notices, 401(k) contributions, and year-end W-2 processing.
• Maintain employee payroll and benefits data in ADP/UKG and carrier systems.
