Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• 1–2 years’ healthcare billing experience preferred.
• HIPAA knowledge and compliance essential.
• Experience with third-party billing and insurance follow-up preferred.
• Certified Revenue Cycle Representative a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Accounts Receivable for areas assigned.
• Develops and maintains skills in hospital billing and reimbursement; trains staff.
• Maintains knowledge of compliance regulations for government and payers.
• Oversee quality in billing and follow-up to maximize reimbursement.
• Reviews claims daily for accuracy and required attachments.
• Manages daily work queues by payer requirements and denials.
• Provides staff training, coaching and performance feedback; supports leadership.
