Qualifications

• High School Graduate AND 5 years of experience in payment posting, claims, denials, health care customer service, insurance processing, billing or collections.
• Associates Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or a related field of study from an accredited college or university
• Must be actively enrolled in an Associate's Degree program with a completion date of 1 year from the date of hire.
• Designated Epic training must be completed within 6 months of hire for Epic users.
• 5+ years of experience in payment posting, claims, denials, health care customer service, insurance processing, billing or collections.
• 3+ years of experience in a lead or supervisory role

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within Patient Financial Services in one of the following areas: clinical trials, payment posting, credits and refunds, denial management, insurance follow up and/or patient customer service.
• Provide leadership through direction, role-modeling and coaching; review workload and prioritize tasks.
• Develop and implement policies to improve reimbursement and staff efficiency; monitor budgets and staffing needs.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations; monitor reports for trends and communicate findings to leadership.
